Illusional Love

Boom bam! Before you realize love just hit you like a ton of bricks. Then we realize that we suddenly cannot live without that person... Almost as if they are our special little private drug that keeps us going. A few months go by and they have mysteriously transformed into some dark gargoyle  we don't even recognize. Then come the things we catch that from people who know them, who say little things here and there that we ignore but seem to file it away in the back of our minds. To wonder if  we have made a deadly mistake with our trusting hearts. Alas, the panic that clutches our heart when we realize that every step of the way they downright deceived us. They walk away without even a seconds glance back... And we are left with a shattered heart, alone to pick up the pieces. We put the relationship into perspective only to wonder what we could have done differently. The moral of the story is... We were probably to good for them in the first place and they took advantage of our love and trust. Karma will be coming back to them to speak to them in their own language that they understand. Last but not least, as we're picking up the shattered pieces... Feel good about the fact that we were genuine with feelings and intentions and we will find someone that truly deserves us.
